The Founders of ONES
Raised in the fields of their separate family farms, ONES founders Tyler and Chris had a shared passion that brought them together; wine.
Tyler had grown up in Saskatchewan, eventually landing in Penticton BC in 2008 to pursue a career outside of agriculture. He began a wine apprenticeship instead, followed by the 2011 founding of T.H. Wines.
Chris was a University of British Columbia Okanagan B.Sc Biology graduate specializing in Canadian tree fruit products development, with a focus on apples and sweet cherries.

How ONES Came To Be
Over more than a few glasses of imported non-alcoholic wine, Tyler and Chris agreed on what was missing from the thriving Canadian wine market: a non-alcoholic wine made from premium Okanagan grapes, one that was both sugar-free and a reflection of our terroir. It was time to get to work.
In September 2022, Tyler posted on his already well-followed TH Wines social accounts, now the ONES official accounts:
“Hi, this is Tyler from TH Wines. As you may know, we’ve been working on a non-alcoholic wine for the past few years. It’s called ONES, and it’s meant to fill the gap for hosts that want a proper BC-made alternative. Please stick around if interested in this story. If not, thanks for the past support.”
The Only Okanagan Wine Without The Buzz
As part of an earlier trial, 1,000 litres of ONES was produced and instantly sold out. This was followed by 5,000 and 10,000 litre production trials, both also sell-outs.
The secret? Not creating a non-alcoholic product that just tastes like wine, but one that’s made from wine, specifically already beloved BC wine. Produced using grapes from the Okanagan, non-alcoholic wine by ONES is fermented like any other. Then, it goes through reverse osmosis, which gently filters out the alcohol.
After already being stocked at a few local retailers, ONES launched its new website in October 2022, encouraging wine lovers, sober Canadians and the sober curious to “pair it with the ONES you love,” the people you love and the recipes you love.
Canada’s Only De-Alcoholized Wine from BC Wine
Soon, the new converts in the market and past fans of ONES couldn’t get enough of the Sparkling Red, derived from Cabernet Sauvignon & Malbec grapes, perfect for enjoying on its own or with your favourite pizza and/or pasta any time of year.
Others fell in love with the Sparkling Rosé, made from Merlot, Malbec, Pinot Noir, Syrah, and Cabernet Franc grapes.
With sampler packs available online combining both, there was, and is, no reason to have to choose between them.
