Stuck for Days, Hospitality Ways
It’s been a week of delays in the Okanagan, with a shutdown of Westjet compounded by a few snowstorms. The inconveniences of our traveller guests have served as a reminder on why we celebrate hospitality, and how acts of kindness make guests feel welcome. If helping another person is easy to do, then you should do it. We've had front row seats as Westjet continues to fail at the basics. In the beverage world, it’s reasonable to offer your guest a sugar-free option. We don’t need a pictograph to understand that beverages with sugar loads, be it Coke, non-alc wine, or kiddie drinks, are not appropriate for everyone. Same goes with high loads of ethanol: there should be non-alc alternatives other than water. And if you happen to like the flavours of wine and the magic of terroir, there should be a glass for you. That’s why we’re in business. Happily, we shipped the next batch of de-alcoholized wine to our bottlers in Penticton ahead of the snow and all the complications related to sub-zero logistics. With luck, our glass arrives this week for bottling, the labels come off the press looking good, and we move into the launch phase for the new wine. Keep an eye out here for the official release! Cheers, Team Ones+
