As planned, we’ve got bottling coming up this week to re-stock the shelves after a successful fall.
Alongside the growth in production, we’re expanding the team at Ones+.
This will be the first hire, and in true small business fashion, the position is a blend of customer-facing tasks and behind-the-scenes management.
Initiating the hiring process has been useful. It forces us to pause, and describe where we want to be in the future. What are our goals and aspirations?
From there, we pull back to an examination of the present. What are the actions today that help us reach tomorrow’s goals? What skills do we need to hire to get us there?
Hiring also sets the bar for business accountability.
We’re telling a potential employee that the business stands for a certain things, and we run things a certain way. It’s one thing to fool yourself, but it’s different when you’re building a community. What you say and do need to line up; your community keeps you in check.
We hope that the hiring process works out. If you've been on either side of the hiring process, or any selection process, you know that it can be a marketing charade. But that’s business.
In the meantime, we’re engaging in the team-building below while the snow sticks around.
The last news is that we’ve built a few mix 6-packs to tide customers over before the release of our Sparkling Red.
